Construction
The contract includes a significant 7year design and build programme in which the RSME will be provided with first class living and teaching accommodation for junior and senior ranks and officers.
The programme covers works at 3 site; Chatham, Minley and Bicester, the latter to support the move of the Defence Explosives, Munitions and Search School (South), a lodger unit currently based at Chatham, in 2012.
Several junior ranks accommodation blocks have already been completed and occupied and over the next 3 years, Holdfast will build or refurbish just less than 2000 new bed spaces.
