Carillion

Carillion PLC is one of the UK's leading support services and construction companies, employing over 50,000 people. Carillion PLC has annual revenues of around £4bn with operations across Britain and Europe, Canada, the Middle East and Caribbean.

Carillion was one of the first companies to recognise the importance of combining construction excellence with a long-term service commitment to their clients and the wider community. Today their portfolio includes many of the most high profile and challenging projects in the UK and overseas including the Tate Modern in London, Liverpool's Albert Dock, the new Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), new hospitals in Swindon and Oxford and also the MOD's Allenby / Connaught programme. The Allenby and Connaught programme includes works to upgrade single living accommodation, leisure and recreational facilities, technical and administrative areas in garrisons at Aldershot and on Salisbury Plain and is a major MOD project to radically improve the living and working environment of Army personnel in these locations.

In addition to its PFI/PPP experience, Carillion is also providing sustainable state of the art learning, living and working environments across all sectors from schools and universities to hospitals. Carillion supports nearly 40% of the Defence Estate, through the MOD's Housing Prime and Regional Prime Central contracts, delivering a £700 million scheme over seven years for the management and providing maintenance and small works to the MOD's 40,000-plus family accommodation units – houses and flats.

Carillion Construction Training is the largest independent provider of construction sector modern apprenticeships in the UK, providing over 10% of all construction apprenticeships and providing a unique understanding into the dynamics of employer requirements for coherent training.
