Holdfast has submitted a planning application for Bicester Garrison. It is hoped that planning permission will be granted in late Autumn 2007.
Holdfast's proposals include:
- Refurbishing four of the existing Junior Ranks accommodation blocks
- Extending the Sergeants' Mess public rooms and adding a wing for Officers' Mess public rooms
- Constructing a new three storey accommodation block in B-Site to provide modern single occupancy en-suite bedrooms for Officers and Sergeants.
- Extending and internally modifying an existing storage building to provide training facilities and administration accommodation.
- A new military dive pool and building, garage, dog compound and Special Training Sites will be constructed within B-Site.
- Piddington, Besterman and Graven Hill sites will be used for Special Training Sites where search houses and other training facilities will be constructed.
